After saving Agate City from Team Meteor, you gain access to a house next to the Pokemon center. Sarena will ask you for a password. It can be obtained through solving a puzzle in Devon Corp?. The password is 139749. Rewards for providing Sarena with the password are Manectite and a Department Store Sticker.

After completing the application quest for the Aqua Gang or the Magma Gang, you will find a person related to one of the gang members in one of the buildings. They will trade you the Pokemon you didn’t get from the application quest. If you pick the Aqua Gang, they will trade you an Oshawott for a Oranguru. If you pick the Magma Gang, they will trade you a Litten for a Basculin.

Trivia

• Agate City is named after the crystal, agate, a common mineral that naturally occurs in various shades of brown.
• Agate City shares its name with Agate Village from the Orre Region in Pokémon Colosseum and Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.
  • There also seems to be an area where trees grow underneath the City, which resembles the Relic Forest from the same game.
  • An NPC in Agate as well as one in the post-restoration Obsidia Park imply that the two settlements are one and the same, with the original village somehow being magically transported from the Orre region. This is further implied by the overall layout of the two being very similar, but with Reborn's being more modernized like much of the rest of the region, including tile walkways instead of grass. The Pokécenter and Pokémart are in roughly the same places, and Hardy's gym stands roughly where the Elder Eagun's house would have been. This would also mean that the Relic Forest as well as its Relic Stone were submerged during the spatial displacement.
    • Within the decade after the events of Reborn, it's mentioned that Blake ended up living in the Orre region and develops Battle Sims. However, the status of Orre's Agate Village is not mentioned.
